Something very special is happening on Tuesday evenings in Abingdon. There is a group of folks that are eager to learn more about the Bible meeting in room 149 of the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center. Though it is a Bible study environment, there is something exciting taking place. This Bible study is very interesting, inspiring, and engaging. Revival Continues

RevivalWe are rejoicing today concerning God’s blessings upon the revival services this week. We so much enjoyed the Alexander family from Phoenix, AZ being with us. They were indeed a blessing to us! We are also so grateful to our guests who joined us during the revival services. We welcome you to return again at your earliest convenience.

Although the evangelist has packed up and gone to his next location, revival is still going strong among our assembly. It will continue Sunday at 2:00 when we meet at the Quality Inn Conference Room located at 930 East Main Street in Abingdon, VA. I feel that God has given me a particular direction and I encourage each of you to do everything you can to be there. This is a great time to be a part of what God is doing. We look forward to seeing each of you and celebrating the goodness of God!

Tuesday Night Bible Study

NLP for Biz

This is how I felt as I was going about my daily activities and I heard my phone beep. I looked at it and realized it was my reminder of Bible Study Tuesday night. My casual stroll nearly turned into a summersault as the excitement flooded my soul. Just thinking of how the presence of the Lord has been so rich during these sessions, the good fellowship of the saints of God, and the Word of the Lord speaking to our needs caused something to stir inside of me.

I’m not the only one who feels this way. I’ve heard others proclaim their excitement for what God is doing among us. I see it on their faces as we gather together. Is not unusual to hear laughter as I am walking down the hall of the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center and then realize it’s coming from room 149 where we meet every Tuesday at 7:30 P.M. I hear testimonies of what God is doing and it makes me happy. Happy to be a part. Happy to know it’s His doing and not mine.

Without question God is up to something BIG among a small group of hungry folk that are gathering together in Abingdon, VA. Something tells me this group will continue to grow. The excitement is too much to keep contained to what and where it is now. Every time we meet, we meet with an expectation that something good is going to happen.

This Tuesday, May 13th, is going to be no exception. We are trusting God to once again meet needs among us. We invite you to join with us and experience what we are so thrilled to be a part of.

A Beautiful Day in Abingdon

Push, Pull, or Drag

Push, Pull, or DragYou don’t want to miss this coming Sunday’s Worship Service at the Quality Inn conference room in Abingdon. If you are going through a difficult time in your life, I believe the Word of the Lord will minister to you. If you know someone that is facing problems, bring them with you to worship service.

Allow me to challenge you to do whatever you can to come and bring someone with you this weekend. The Scripture says in Luke 14:23; “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” What are some ways you could compel? Offer to bake them a chocolate cake (or jam cake,  strawberry pie, steak dinner, etc). If you are the one being invited, tell the one inviting you that you will come for a chocolate cake (or jam cake,  strawberry pie, steak dinner, etc). By all means you need to be in service with us on this special Palm Sunday.

We are believing that the Word of the Lord will minister to you and be a source of help. The service will begin at 2:00. You are welcome to come early for pre-service prayer at 1:30 if you desire. Come expecting, and …… Push, pull, or drag someone with you!
