Independence Day and Watermelon

Watermelon July 4

Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
– 2 Cor. 3:17

Some things just go together. Like July 4th and watermelon. Let me try that again; July 4th and watermelon and church. That’s right! We are having Bible Study on Independence Day and we are excited about it!

We’d love for you to include us in your Independence Day celebrations. Check that! We’d love for you to include God and us in your celebration plans. You can stop by for Bible Study prior to going to the fireworks (God really should be first anyway, and He really is the reason for true freedom. Oops! I just got a little preachy on you). You will still have plenty of time after Bible Study to enjoy the area festivities (or enjoy a good night’s rest).

Look, I’ve already checked the itinerary and there’s nothing happening during the timeĀ from 7:30 to 8:30 that’s gonna be any better than what will be happening at 15540 Lee Highway so you might as well come on and join us. About the best thing that will happen besides the fireworks at the Bristol celebration will be free watermelon and we are giving that away too after Bible Study. They will also be recognizing our veterans which I think is a very nice and suitable thing to do. We can do that too!

So join us at 7:30 P.M. for a great time of fellowship, worship, and Bible Study. Better yet, doors will open at 7:00 for those who can come early for pre-service prayer. At the close of the lesson, you can grab a slice of watermelon on your way to watch the fireworks (or on your way to watch the back of your eyelids).
