Sunday Doesn’t Have To Be Boring

BoredDon’t be bored this Sunday! Don’t waste another Sunday doing little to nothing and then wonder where the day went. The work week is about to begin all over for most and you need to enjoy your final day off doing something of lasting (and eternal) value.

If your idea of church is boring, than you need to re-think (or unthink) your idea of church. All churches are not boring. We don’t think ours is.

Why not come and see for yourself? Service begins at 2:00 and ends when it’s over. Don’t worry; time flies when you’re having fun. It really doesn’t last that long, and for some, not long enough. We try to leave you wanting more. Come see us!

Need A Little Help?

Help (Drowning holding %22help%22 sign)Do you ever feel like you’re drowning in a sea of despair? Problems everywhere you look? It’s good to know there’s a place where one can get a little help in life.

The Psalmist David said, “Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion” (Ps. 20:2). The place to get help is in the church. We’re not proclaiming to be a perfect people, but a people whom God is perfecting little by little.

Many people think the church is only for perfect people. They will often, with good intentions, attempt to get their life together and then “start church.” That’s really quite opposite of the way it should be. We need to understand that without Him helping us, our life will never be what it was intended to be.

So bring your problems, failures, addictions, and struggles to the house of the Lord. Come and find the help you need in the sanctuary. You will find a God of love, compassion, and forgiveness. You will find a group of people that will love you, pray with you, and care for you. Make plans to be with us this Tuesday evening at 7:30 P.M. You will be glad you did and we will too!

You If You Miss Church Tomorrow

Sad Baby

Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
– Heb. 10:25

If you miss tomorrow, you will miss an awesome time in the presence of the Lord. You will miss the fellowship of the saints. You will miss the Word that God has for you. Not only that, but we will MISS YOU!

We hope to see you this Sunday afternoon at 2:00 P.M. for an enlightening and encouraging time in Word and Worship. Come early for pre-service prayer at 1:30. We can’t wait to see you!

Enjoy Bible Study With Us!

ben-white-128604We do not believe Bible study has to be boring! It can be an enjoyable time that one actually looks forward to. It don’t have to feel like a hostage situation, but rather a place you want to be.

We laugh. (Sometimes we cry). We learn. We grow. We pray. We love. We care. We listen.

Folks come from various walks of life and all are welcome. Some attend other churches on Sundays, yet join us on Tuesdays to study the Bible. Some claim no church attendance, but enjoy the evening with us. We have attendees that live in nice subdivisions while others live on nice farms. We have some that live in trailer parks and others live in apartment complexes. We have some that live in their car and others wherever they can lay their head. Folks come that we don’t know where they live. They don’t tell us and we are fine with that. We have some that drive over an hour to attend and do that regularly on Tuesdays and Sundays.

I think you get the picture that all are welcome. You don’t have to dress up to come. Some do, but all don’t. Some come straight from work and even come in a little late because of work occasionally. We are just glad they’re with us.

We encourage you to check out our Tuesday evening Bible Study group. It’s a great bunch of folks (sometimes a little bunch and sometimes a little bigger bunch, but always a growing bunch). We meet at 7:30 PM for about an hour or so and have a great time. It would be an even greater time if you would join us. We will be watching for you this Tuesday!

Palm Sunday

Palm Sunday #2On the next day much people that were come to the feast, when they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, took branches of palm trees, and went forth to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord.- John 12:12-13

Please join us for Palm Sunday on April 9, 2017. We are believing God to meet us in this service. If you have a need, regardless of what it may be, please come expecting God to help you.

Service will begin at 2:00 in the afternoon, but you are welcome to come early for pre-service prayer. Doors will open at 1:30 P.M.

We are conveniently located at 15540 Lee Highway in between Skyland Coin and Jewelry and Economy Inn. Both of these neighbors invite you to park in their paved parking lots if our lot is full.

IMG_5748And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. – Luke 14:23

“Go ye” were the words of our Lord on more than one occasion. It’s our mandate and I want to take it personal. We don’t need to leave that responsibility to one certain person or even a select few, but we can all do something to help share the good news. If we are Spirit-filled, we have received power to be a witness (Acts 1:8). God has enabled us to do so.

We will be meeting this Saturday at noon for the purpose of outreach. Professional invitations have been ordered and incentives are being offered to “compel” people to “fill” the house of the Lord. It is God’s will for His house to be filled. It is His will that we make it our mission to fill it. It is His will if you are a guest reading this, that you attend a Bible believing, Bible preaching, Bible living church. Why not join us this coming Sunday? Word and Worship is at 2:00 P.M. We also have Tuesday evening Bible Study at 7:30 P.M.

For the church members reading, we hope to see you this Saturday at noon when we will meet at the church for some brief instructions, supplies, and focused prayer for our efforts to be directed and blessed. If you are unable to attend this outreach endeavor, please pick up some invitations and church cards to hand out to co-workers, friends, family members, and neighbors over the next couple of weeks. Hang invitations in public places (restaurants, grocery stores, etc) so that everyone will know there is a church where they will be welcomed and a place where hope is alive! Ready? Let’s go!
