What a way and what a place to spend a beautiful Fall evening! There’s no better time to enjoy the beauty of downtown Abingdon than in the Fall of the year. You can stroll down main street window shopping while sipping on coffee from Zazzy’z Coffee Shop and eating a piece of pumpkin cheesecake from Anthony’s Desserts or make the quick jaunt to downtown Bristol and enjoy a pastry or donut from Blackbird Bakery. Have dinner in Abingdon at the Bone Fire Smokehouse or go back in time to Ellis Soda Shoppe. You’re also in close proximity to The Falls and The Pinnacle if you are up for some serious shopping. The gentlemen can enjoy Cabela’s or Bass Pro to get ready for rifle season.
While all of those things are enjoyable and the places are worth visiting, there will be no better way to conclude your evening than a visit to The Apostolics of Abingdon for our Friday Fire evangelistic service on November 11th. This will be a wonderful time to fellowship with people of “like precious faith,” as well as enjoy the good Word of the Lord and worship with others.
The service will start at 7:30 P.M. with pre-service prayer at 7:00. Rev. Gary Blankenship will be the guest preacher for the evening and we are looking for a great time! Please invite your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers and make plans to attend this special service. We look forward to seeing you!
