I hear the lyrics of this old familiar hymn in my mind as I since an urgency in my spirit to convey my heart to you this evening. I hear the words of an old familiar, yet ever more pertinent text ringing through the chambers of my soul tonight as I ponder and pray over the souls of men. It is found in the gospel of John; “Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.”
I’m reminded that seasons are in God’s control. Daniel 2:27 says that “He changes the times and the seasons.” I am convinced that we are in a harvest time season. That’s good news for you and I if we take advantage of the season. You see seasons don’t last forever.
What a dreaded lament I read in Jeremiah 8:20; “The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved.” Don’t let that be the deplorable cry of your soul tonight. Don’t miss your day of opportunity! Please join us Sunday at 2:00 P.M. for Word and Worship.
To the saints, allow me to challenge you to invite someone during this season. Someone is ready and waiting. Seize the moment and let’s reap a harvest!
