Though we enjoyed a family vacation to Florida, we certainly missed everyone and we are excited to see each of you this evening at Bible study. With the holiday schedule, sickness, travel, and other events preventing some from being able to attend services, it will just be nice to get everyone back together again.
It seems this time of the year can become quite chaotic if we allow it to, but let us not get so wrapped up in the craziness of all that is going on around us that we miss the most important things. We need to take time for God, number one. We also need to spend time with those we love and care about. We can often become so busy with life that we forget to connect with others.
Spend time with family and friends. Take a moment and chat with a neighbor, someone at church, an acquaintance you bump into at the store instead of simply smiling and hurrying off. You may find out they need someone. Someone to care. Someone to love. Someone to pray. Let’s not be so busy during this season that we miss valuable moments. Seasons like this are meant for God and for people.
That’s what’s on my mind today. Thank you for allowing me a few minutes of your day to share these thoughts. We look forward to seeing you tonight at Festive Celebrations (266 East Main St Abingdon, VA). Bible study will begin at 7:30.
