Questions from Job

Job (Bible)

This coming Sunday we will begin a new series entitled “Questions from Job.” We will be looking at questions posed in the of Job and hopefully provide answers. I encourage you to begin reading through this intriguing book during your own personal devotional time. You will find strength and comfort in its pages as well as situations relative to all.

Make plans now to join us this Sunday at 2:00. We will be meeting at the Quality Inn Conference Room located at 930 E Main St in Abingdon, VA. We look forward to seeing you!

Bible Study

Bible Study - Everyone Welcome

We want to extend to you an invitation to join us in Bible study on Tuesday evening at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center. We will be meeting in room 149 at 7:30 P.M.

What to expect? You will find people from different walks of life that come together for a common cause. We want to know more about God and His Word. We are looking for more than mere religion. We are looking for a relationship with God and His church.

You are not expected to dress up to come, although some do. You don’t have to sit in a particular location. We will not put you on the spot. You can come and be relaxed as we study God’s Word.

We hope you’ll except our invite. If you have questions or concerns that have not been addressed in this post, just ask. You can go to our Contact Page and either email us or call. We hope to see you soon!

A Beautiful Day in Abingdon

Sunset Abingdon Farm

Everyday is a beautiful day in Abingdon, but Tuesdays are extra special. That is if you are attending Bible study at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center. Regardless of what the weather will be doing tomorrow evening, the Son will be shining in room 149 at 7:30 P.M.

We are expecting a great time studying God’s Word, but it will be even more special if you would join us. What a wonderful way to end your day!

Push, Pull, or Drag

Push, Pull, or DragYou don’t want to miss this coming Sunday’s Worship Service at the Quality Inn conference room in Abingdon. If you are going through a difficult time in your life, I believe the Word of the Lord will minister to you. If you know someone that is facing problems, bring them with you to worship service.

Allow me to challenge you to do whatever you can to come and bring someone with you this weekend. The Scripture says in Luke 14:23; “And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled.” What are some ways you could compel? Offer to bake them a chocolate cake (or jam cake,  strawberry pie, steak dinner, etc). If you are the one being invited, tell the one inviting you that you will come for a chocolate cake (or jam cake,  strawberry pie, steak dinner, etc). By all means you need to be in service with us on this special Palm Sunday.

We are believing that the Word of the Lord will minister to you and be a source of help. The service will begin at 2:00. You are welcome to come early for pre-service prayer at 1:30 if you desire. Come expecting, and …… Push, pull, or drag someone with you!

Blackbird Bakery and the Bible

Blackbird Bakery

If you missed Bible study last night, you missed a special treat! We began our study with a time of fellowship and donuts from Blackbird Bakery. It only got better from there as the Lord graced us with His presence.

Bible study is always an enjoyable time as we get together with folks that are so easy to be around and eager to learn God’s word. It seems there is a special touch of God that rests upon us as we open our hearts and our Bibles together.

We look forward to a visit from you soon. We may or may not have donuts, but we hope to leave you with a satisfied feeling from the study of God’s word!

We’re Saving You A Seat

Empty Chair

Just so you know…… It matters not to us what you drive, where you live, or your social status. We don’t care about your past; we all have one. Young or old, or in between. Religious or non-religious. We are saving you a seat and can’t wait to see you!
