Foundations of Truth

Matt. 7:24-27Is-Your-House-Built-on-A-Solid-Foundation
24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.
26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:
27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.

I venture to say that all of us want to be successful in our living for God. We want our relationship with Him to be a lasting one. We did not start to fail, but to endure to the end. In order for that to happen we must be certain that our spiritual house is built on a solid foundation. This “house” must have more than curb appeal, but built on a foundation that will stand the test of time. Storms will come. The winds will blow, but rest assured if the foundation is right your house will be secure.

We cannot build upon the sand which is merely pieces of rock. We must be built upon the whole truth. God’s Word is truth (John 17:17). It is with this thought in mind that we will continue our series entitled Foundations of Truth Tuesday evening. If you are serious about your relationship with God being properly established we invite you to join us for this informative, inspiring, and engaging study.
